Prior to founding Merodis, Patrick worked in the Private Equity department of Fortis for over five years, where he first developed their Fund of Funds activities and subsequently focused on mezzanine and direct investments. He began his career in corporate finance at Fortis before working as an equity analyst at both Fortis and ING for five years. He holds a Commercial Engineering degree from the University of Louvain-La-Neuve and an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business of Duke University in the United States.
