Jean-Marie has 30 years of professional experience in sell-side analysis and corporate finance and, during the decade before that, in management accounting and international tax. He has been involved in the mergers and acquisitions of major Belgian bank & insurance companies as well as utility companies. Jean-Marie contributed to modulate the financial and fiscal structure of Belgian regulated real estate companies before their birth in 1995. He worked mainly for Générale de Banque (now BNP Paribas Fortis), ING and Degroof Petercam. In parallel, he was the European coordinator of financial and real estate analysis for ESN (European Securities Network) and a member of the executive committee of the Belgian Association of Financial Analysts. Jean-Marie holds a degree in economics from UCLouvain, as well as a degree in tax and management information systems. He joined Merodis as an external adviser in 2020.
