Merodis, an independent corporate finance advisory firm, is pleased to announce that it successfully advised the shareholders of Certisys SA in the sale of the company to Ecocert Group.

Founded 30 years ago by Mr. Blaise Hommelen, Certisys (https://www.certisys.eu/) is the pioneer and market leader of organic certification in Belgium. Its expertise and its commitment to the organic sector have made it a leading body for inspections and certification in this area. With its strong local presence and almost 50 employees, Certisys supports the development of organic activities in Belgium and internationally. As part of the transaction, Mr. Hommelen will transfer the daily management of the company to Mr. Franck Brasseur, previously Certisys’ head of inspection.

Ecocert Group (https://www.ecocert.com/)  is a French family-owned group of companies that has become a major global player in organic certification with more than 1,700 employees. With this acquisition, Ecocert Group, is strengthening its position in Europe and gaining access to the Benelux market.
